Telenor's E-Mail Advanced offers full duplex communications and automatic mailbag compression reducing e-mail costs by up to 80 percent. E-Mail Advanced has additional features such as a crash recovery program, automatic virus scanning and easy to use software with pre-installed drivers and dialing strings compatible with most Inmarsat A, B, M, Mini-M, GAN and Fleet terminals. The service is suitable for most mobile users, particularly maritime and land based customers whose business operations require a cost-effective e-mail communications solution. The easy-to-install and use software package allows users to access and exchange information with the Telenor E-Mail Advanced Hub. The software also acts as an intermediary between the pre-installed (but not included) MS Outlook e-mail software, the satellite, and the Telenor E-Mail Advanced Hub.

How it works:
Telenor E-Mail Advanced is designed for use with Microsoft Outlook 97, 98, 2000 or XP and operates with various client applications such as Microsoft Outlook or Word. Messages created are sent to an electronic mailbag, which is forwarded to Telenor's E-Mail Advanced Hub in a compressed mode over a satellite link using the full duplex connection.
