Satcom1's Polling and Data Reporting (PDR) service allows fleet managers to track and monitor one or all of the Inmarsat-C (INM-C) terminals within their fleet.
The INM-C terminal can be installed on a vessel, aircraft, vehicle, or other moving object.
Features and Benefits
Fleet managers can poll mobile INM-C terminals and request data reports (short repetitive messages that state position, course, and speed of the mobile terminal) by using the Inmarsat-C PDR functions. Polling a mobile terminal can be done as an Inmmediate Poll to request a data report at any time or by Program Polling for automatic data reports at preset intervals to save time. - Reduces costs through better fleet management
