How it works:
Satcom1's Prepaid Direct Service includes: - Prepaid Account
- Prepaid SIM Card
- Prepaid Loading Card
Prepaid Account
The Prepaid Account is a personalized account with Satcom1 that allows tracking of airtime purchased and used by each user. Users can establish a Prepaid Account by registering with Satcom1 and requesting a Prepaid SIM Card, or by activating an Inmarsat terminal through Satcom1 as 'prepaid only.' Units of airtime can be added to a Prepaid Account by using a Prepaid Loading Card or through Satcom1's Web-based information management system. Units loaded to a Prepaid Account can be used up to one year from the load date.
Prepaid SIM Card
The Prepaid SIM Card is a personal security tool that provides users with the ability to access a Prepaid Account using any Inmarsat GAN or Mini-M terminal. To use a Prepaid SIM Card, insert the card into a GAN or Mini-M terminal and enter the four-digit PIN code provided with the card.
Prepaid Loading Card
A Prepaid Loading Card is used to load units of airtime to a Prepaid Account via either a Prepaid SIM Card or a designated prepaid terminal. Each Prepaid Loading Card has its own unique account number and PIN code.
