Satellite Direct Plus (one number dial) allows users to place calls directly to Inmarsat mobile terminals located any where in the world by simply dialing a pre-assigned terrestrial number. Satellite Direct Plus is part of Satcom1's portfolio of Fixed-to-Mobile solutions that increase cost efficiencies for calls placed to Inmarsat terminals from a fixed location.
Features and benefits- Easy single-stage access dialing
- Allows calls to any Inmarsat terminal or SIM card from all terrestrial networks world-wide.
- Supports the following call types:
-High quality or low-speed voice - 3.1 kHz Audio used for STU-III, fax and low-speed data - UDI (Unrestricted Digital Interface) Data used for Mobile ISDN high-speed data or Secure Terminal Equipment (STE) - Available for Inmarsat Mini-M, GAN, BGAN, Fleet, Swift, and other aeronautical services. Automatically locates a mobile terminal using the LES Mobility Management service

How to get started using Satellite Direct Plus (one number dial):
To get started using Satellite Direct Plus, follow these two easy steps: - Register for Satellite Direct Plus by completing a Satcom1 Subscription Form, including a list of the Inmarsat Mobile Number(s) (IMNs) to be designated to receive calls from fixed locations.
- Satcom1's Customer Care Center will send an e-mail notification confirming that the registration procedure is complete, assigning the new Satellite Direct Plus number(s) and providing user instructions.
Additional information about the Satcom1 Satellite Direct Plus (SDP) number An SDP number can be assigned to up to three different mobile numbers (maximum of one mobile for each incoming call type). The registered Inmarsat mobile numbers can either be associated with the same mobile terminal or SIM card or each mobile number can belong to a separate Inmarsat mobile terminal or SIM card. For example, a single SDP number can be used to direct incoming voice calls to an Aero H terminal (by its 5XXXXXXXX mobile number) and UDI calls to a Swift terminal (by its 60XXXXXXX mobile number).
Mobility Management
The Land Earth Station Operator (LESO) automatically locates the Inmarsat mobile terminal using Inmarsat's mobility management system. For services that are not supported by Inmarsat's mobility management system (i.e., Inmarsat A and aeronautical services other than Swift), the LES network employs a proprietary mobility management scheme that can locate a mobile terminal in any ocean region.
