When Satcom1 participates in flight test it is in a partnership with the installation center from whom the customer is ready to get the aircraft deliveried.

The flight test is conducted to ensure all banking angles keeps Inmarsat connectivity and do all testing with the customer or their staff onboard to witness quality and ensure all goals are met. In addition, it is a good oppertunity to teach all crew about the satcom system and its capabilities and constraints.

Recent, flight test has been with videoconferencing equipment where Satcom1 designed the aeronautical Local Area Network (LAN) with videoconference and it was live tested. The aircraft owner can speak live to his personal on ground or conduct a video conference meeting with live pictures. This is installed on a VIP A340.
