SwiftBroadband (SBB) is designed to meet the broadband data communications needs of passengers, cabin crew and pilots in airliners, business jets and government aircraft.
Delivered via the world's most sophisticated commercial communications satellites, SwiftBroadband will provide affordable broadband services, including: - IP-based data up to 432kbps
- 64kbps ISDN circuit-switched data
- Voice
- Fax
- Simultaneous voice and IP data
- Currently: Maximum SBB channels per aircraft is two. Global coverage will be Q1 2009 but it can work with combined Swift64 until the pacific region also is covered. Meaning using AORW,AORE and IOR now and POR Q1 2009.
Together with an installation center partner, Satcom1 has the first customers, who wish to have SBB satcom hardware installed to have the maximum bandwidth available onboard. To learn more contact Satcom1 for more details.
How to Activate SBB ?
When you receive a Swiftbroadband (SBB) hardware, it will have a generic SBB SIMcard inside and data will follow on the box and documents from the various hardware manufactures.
You simply provide Satcom1 the SBB SIMcard details, and we will activate the SIMcard asap. activation@satcom1.com or call direct: + 45 46154546.
