Satcom1 supports the Fly With Amelia Foundation

Satcom1, the leading satellite communication specialist for VVIP, Head-of-State, military, business and private aircraft has joined Honeywell Aerospace and Inmarsat in supporting the Fly With Amelia Project.

Amelia Rose will departure from Oakland, CA, piloting a Pilatus PC-12 NG through fourteen countries, making seventeen stops. She will fly over 28.000 aeronautical miles, to recreate and symbolically complete the historic flight that her namesake never ended in 1937.

Satcom1 supports The Fly With Amelia Foundation, which supports and encourages young people, especially young woman to undertake a career in aviation. It provides aviation opportunities to all, free aviation based educational curriculum to grades K-12, and scholarship funding of flight training to young women, builds STEM based educational curriculum and engages people of all ages and backgrounds in the thrill of discovering their own adventures. Amelia is a television reporter in Denver, CO and was just named one of the “Top Ten Outstanding Americans” by the Jaycees, an international organizational leadership group.
