The Satcom1 developed FaxEnhancer is a fax gateway service designed to improve the success rate of fax transmissions to aircrafts with Aero-I, Aero-H and –H+ satcom onboard. The error rate, when sending a fax to an

aircraft is usually high because of latency and transmissions errors on satellite links.

 

The risk of failure is as high as the number of pages of the fax but generally, one page fax have a

quite good success rate.  Today, when a customer subscribes to the Satcom1 FaxEnhancer service, the business jet owner is allocated a French phone number going through Satcom1’s gateway ensuring high success for multiple pages.

Currently using the Satcom1 gateway provides a fax success rate at 99.8%.

 

When all the pages are forwarded, and if the original sender did not hide his sender caller ID, then he is automatically sent back a report, which describes all the attempts for each page sent. No copy of the faxes are kept on the Satcom1 FaxEnhancer gateway, they are automatically deleted just after being forwarded.
