Fleet 33

Fleet F33 is a maritime communications service that offers high quality voice, fax and data at speeds of 9.6 kbps, along with the option of Mobile Packet Data Service (MPDS), enabling users to remain on-line for extended periods of while being charged only for the data transmitted and received.

Service Features

Fleet F33 supports a variety of communication channels to meet the diverse application requirements of low tonnage
coastal fishing vessels, patrol organizations, smaller yachts, and private leisure craft. Fleet F33 offers users the choice of selecting either or both of two communication channels - circuit-switched data services or Mobile Packet Data Service (MPDS), thereby allowing users to create a communications solution to match specific operational requirements.

Mobile Packet Data Service ¹

Mobile Packet Data Service uses Internet Protocol (IP) technology and time-shared channels to allocate network resources, enabling
cost-efficient Web access, e-mail and "Always On" remote access.

Variable Speed

-For bursty applications such as Internet access, and e-mail with small file attachments

Voice Services

Fleet F33 offers a dedicated Single Channel per Carrier (SCPC) service that provides cost-effective voice
communications.
